Hello there... I'm Deb Dufel!

I am a Story-Teller, Story-Curator, and Story-Enthusiast; so, tell me a story. A family story, your story, a hilarious, sad, historical. I'm all ears. I love people's stories. If not shared we'll lose them. If you have family stories that you don't want to lose, pull out your phone and record them. Get your great aunt Tillie to share hers. Start with a simple question: What it was like growing up. It's gift to her and for you. I've heard many times people say, "I wish I had asked my ... parents, aunts, brothers, sisters... and your great Auntie Tillie.

Shall we start with why I wrote a book?

I listened to other's stories.

One bright Sunday morning in Queensland AU, I has having brekky (aka breakfast) with a friend who slid a USB card. We shared brekky every Sunday for over 6 months. I was fascinated by how the Aussies kept their military stories alive. On that USB card, was her Grandfather's story: a man of the land who went to war.

Over the next several years, I ask and received other's stories. Some saying, you can use the story but not my name...

Their stories are incorporated throughout the books.

Come and see how their stories that they thought were ordinary and weren't. Their stories enrich our lives and need to be heard.
